The NUTS group's latest campaign, set in the Beqaa Valley of Lebanon in 1982, had its second game recently.
Bart commanded the PLO and Syrian forces, with a formation of PLO fighters, supported by a formation of Syrian T-55s and another formation of Syrian T-62s.
Gary opted to maximize his Merkava Is, fielding a very historical tabk heavy force with just Perehs, one mech platoon, some artillery and TOW jeeps supporting his mass of armor.
The game was very tactical, Bart's PLO held his objectives while the two tank formations pressed on both flanks. Gary used an oblique attack from his left, pummeling and then breaking the T-62s before the T-55s could flank his armor. Despite heavy support troop losses, the Merkavas steamrollered to vistory. Great fun!
