Plenty of additional WW3 Team Yankee action happened at the shop last month.
One game in particular stood out, where Shawn (US) and I (Dutch) took on Garry C in a European theatre clash. Garry ran a mix of T-80 and T-64 tanks, plus mech infantry and a variety of support, including artillery and anti-air.
My Dutch fielded a few Leopard 2s, with a full formation of Leopard 1s and mech infantry mounted in YPR-765 IFVs, plus M109 artillery and PRTL anti- aircraft units. Shawn ran a mix of US Mech infantry, Bradley scouts and M1A1 HC super tanks.
The game was quite interesting, with a lot of back and forth around the center of the board, which was heavily terrained with wooded hills, streams and other ridges. The Soviets fought hard, but in the end the NATO forces managed to clear the center area and sieze a nearby objective for the win. Great fun.
