Israeli reserves, rushing to the front, tried to hold off the assaults, but with limited success.

Heavy fighting occurred around Chinese Farm, Yoram, Botzer and Masrek. Only at Chinese Farm did the Israelis manage to hold, the other areas all fell into Egyptian control. We have now reached the afternoon of October 7th, with the Israelis under significant pressure all along the front.
